Electronics Engineering Team Lead

At Pendennis we know that our people and their skills make us a success in the superyacht new build and refit sector. A strong team is vital and due to an expanding workload, we are currently recruiting for a Marine Electronics Engineering Team Lead.

The successful candidates will have relevant marine or similar industrial electronics installation experience and have completed a recognised electronic apprenticeship or have a demonstrable track record in a similar role. They will have experience of leading a small and specialized team to achieve the efficient delivery of complex projects in challenging timescales, liaising with multiple stakeholders.

Experience in electronics systems installation, fault diagnosis and working from drawings are essential, together with the ability to work on your own and as part of a multi-disciplined team.

We are currently recruiting for new members in an expanding team to support work on both refits and construction of new vessels.

The successful applicant will have good systems knowledge of pipe installation, plumbing/engineering experience, the ability to work under their own initiative as well as part of a team.

Skills and experience:

Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor

Pendennis is looking to recruit a qualified Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor to join the Pendennis team and provide the full OH remit including sound professional advice and guidance, and to work alongside HR, H&S, and line managers to help ensure our legal obligations are met and to support holistic wellbeing at work.

The main job role:
• Undertaking baselines and ongoing health surveillance
• Providing occupational health advice and guidance based on legislative requirements and sound work experience ideally in a similar field
• Return to work assessments and management of phased returns where appropriate

The role will also include:
• Identifying early signs of possible (work related) health issues and preventing any escalation
• Sickness absence management
• Working closely with individuals, line managers and H&S to ensure legislation is accurately interpreted and addressed and that chronic health conditions are managed to ensure all staff’s health and safety
• Being involved with staff committees and attending meetings relevant to the OH role e.g. Link Team
• Delivering Toolbox Talks
• Face fitting
• Organising clinics for the visiting OH Physician referring individuals in a timely manner
• Sign posting to specialist external resources
• Assisting with risk assessment and risk management activities
• Initiating and assisting with the implementation of Health promotion initiatives working closely with external agencies
Skills and Experience required/desired
• RGN Qualified with an OH qualification Ideally Part 3 registered. (Consideration may be given to experienced Nurse Practitioners keen to undertake the OH degree.)
• Proven nursing experience in an occupational health environment in a medium/large organisation
• Experience of conducting all usual routine health surveillance particularly qualified to undertake HAVS (up to and including Tier III), Spirometry and Audiometry.
• Skilled report writing
• Ability to work autonomously and organise delivery of service with some admin support
• Up to date knowledge of legislation particularly relevant to OH
