Experienced .NET Developer

Pendennis is looking to add to our current in-house software development team. The position is for a .NET Developer with experience in C#/.NET Framework/MVC/Entity Framework/SQL Server/HTML5 to join our internal development team.

As an experienced .NET Developer, you will be working on our internal systems which control key processes in the company. Being an experienced individual, you will be involved in the on-going architectural design on these systems. You will be building new web based applications, as well as maintaining systems that are already in place. A key component of the role will be making the company’s data collection processes more user-friendly utilising mobile technologies.

Experience and skill requirements:
A degree in Computing/IT OR Relevant commercial experience (3-4 years).
Proficiency in C#/.NET Framework/MVC/Entity Framework/SQL Server/HTML5 development.
Knowledge of database design. Ideally Microsoft SQL.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience of working in a version controlled development environment.
It is a team environment so excellent communication and a willingness to help others is essential.

Desirable skills:
IOS development (utilising Xamarin or Swift).
Some experience of integrating financial systems.

Salary:
Up to £35,000 depending on experience. A relocation package is available for the right candidate.

Fairers/Painters

Due to an expanding order book and new facilities, we are currently recruiting for Fairers/Painters to work on both refits and new builds.

We are looking for experienced personnel to cover all aspects of yacht fairing and painting.  Ideally candidates will be experienced in any or all of the following areas:
Blasting/corrosion treatment.
Tank/internals painting.
Fairing/re-fairing.
Application of primers.
Longboarding.
DA sanding.
Detail fine lining etc.
Topcoat application.

Candidates must show an excellent work ethic, flexibility and willingness to work as part of a close knit team, as well as having good attention for detail, cleanliness, and health and safety. Competitive rates of pay.

Electrical Design Engineer (Marine)

Due to growth we are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (Marine) to join our electrical team.

Job Description:
The position is ideally suited for an experienced and competent electrical design engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preliminary and production design packages for electrical installations on sailing and motor yachts (30 to 70m+). Working from (and aiding to generate) the requirements/specifications for luxury super yachts in this highly complex industry.

Responsibilities:
Taking specifications and (with the aid of the electrical draughtsman) producing detailed designs for the electrical production team.
Creating wiring diagrams, cable schedules and associated bill of materials.
Performing electrical load analysis for vessels.
Assisting with generating detailed specifications for the whole electrical package on-board new builds and significant refits/restorations when required by the Sales and Estimation team.
Working with suppliers to refine offerings and streamline the installation/commissioning on-board.
Assisting with commissioning support for your designs and through-life customer support.

The Candidate will ideally have:
An Engineering Degree or ONC/HNC in an electrical design related field.
A proven track record in a marine electrical design environment (industrial or controls would be considered).
A solid understanding of the requirements for electrical installations on-board ships/yachts including class requirements (or in industrial applications).
It would be advantageous to have experience with generator specification and commissioning, switchboard design, and control panel design.
Effective oral and written communication with great team working skills.
Willing to support company objectives and travel when required.
