Supervisor – Interior Finishing

At Pendennis we understand that it is our people who make the difference. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Interior Finisher who can demonstrate an understanding of our processes whilst leading a small team.

Successful applicants will be responsible for:

• HSE – Including COSHH, risk assessments and method statements
• Interior finishing on assigned projects
• Setting targets for their team
• Estimating, and Budget Control.
• Quality control
• Procurement of materials and equipment
• Housekeeping of their area

Health & Safety Manager

Minimum qualification NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma with at least 5 years experience in a shipbuilding, ship repair or related engineering or construction environment.  We are seeking someone with excellent interpersonal skills who can actively engage with management and the work force, and effect real improvement initiatives.

The key task is implementing a HS&E culture that is site wide. The Manager will adopt a remit spanning from accident investigation and legislative compliance through to training and audits as well as co-ordinating inspections (both internally and managing external bodies / interested third parties). Corporate Policy making and safety standards implementation will be an integral part of the job.

You will oversee the general Health & Safety for the group, providing expert advice on company health, safety and environmental issues, liaising with departments / projects across all sites to deliver first class standards to employees, customers and contractors, and also taking responsibility for environmental management and standards maintained on site.

You will develop and implement a behavioural safety frame work, assist and advise with risk assessments applicable to the manufacturing environment with a high focus on root cause analysis and preventative methods.
