Story
The 1972 Feadship Heavenly Daze arrived at Pendennis at the end of September 2011 to commence her winter refit. Completed April 2012 the main focus of her visit was on her interiors, with significant restyling and upgrade to her saloon and dining area, as well as her VIP and guest cabins by Wetzels Brown Partners. Pendennis’ Interior Design team supported Wetzels Brown in restoring the yachts original character whilst remaining true to her classic heritage.
The project included the restoration of the yacht’s original fittings, whilst adding modern comforts and stylish accessories. The visit also included a RINA annual survey and general maintenance works with isolated deck, hull and tank repairs, and top side repaint. The bridge electronics received a full upgrade alongside an overhaul of her steering system and stabilizers.
The broad range of in-house trades at Pendennis is particularly well suited to this type of work which covers the whole spectrum of boat building skills and disciplines. Following sea trials Heavenly Daze left early May for the Mediterranean, with the complete set of works being completed in just over 6 months.
Since her original refit, Heavenly Daze has continued her long-term relationship with Pendennis, having visited the Palma Refit facility for the past few years for minor engineering and survey works as part of Pendennis’ philosophy of through-life care and support.
