Having arrived to Pendennis for the first time as Midnight, a summer refit saw the 37m sloop re-launched in 2008 as Moonbird, with not only with a new name but also a complete new exterior colour change.
13 months later she returned for a further refit, with works including replacement of her teak decks and an extensive engineering programme ranging from air conditioning, gensets, main engine, and engine pipe work. Parts of the interior were refreshed along with a full galley renovation. After successfully completing her refit Moonbird was relaunched in early March 2010 for departure to the Mediterranean.
