At 75.4m, when Northern Star arrived in 2014 she was the largest yacht by volume ever to have entered Pendennis’ facilities. Just one month after her launch in 2015, that record was broken by the arrival of 85.6m Aquila.
Northern Star was housed in Pendennis’ 150m dry dock for her refit, which consisted of class surveys and paint works. On completion she was one of the first yachts to be manoeuvred into the yard’s new wet basin.
Completed in May 2015 as the final phase of the company’s significant facilities development, the wet basin provided the ideal location for the yacht’s post-refit commissioning period.
