Crew Experience

Our ethos is to provide a professional work environment alongside a welcoming social environment for crews whilst based in Falmouth, providing a home-from-home.

The team at Pendennis provide support and advice on a range of issues from the legalities of customs and immigration, to organising short or long-term accommodation, recommending places to visit and local restaurants.

We also organise regular events to enable visiting crews and yard staff to socialise out of hours.

We look forward to welcoming you into the Pendennis family!

During my time in Cornwall I have discovered an amazing range of organic produce and specialist agricultural suppliers that in turn has led to some interesting insights into the local culture and food

Crew Facilities

Crew Offices

We pride ourselves on the facilities that we have developed for visiting crews, which are some of the best in the world. Currently located in the beautiful Victorian Bridon Ropes building each office comes fully equipped with broadband internet connection, a dedicated crew kitchen and canteen, a separate washroom area and full use of our on-site gym.

Accommodating up to seven separate crews at any one time, our facilities allow you to settle easily in to yard life, mix with other crews and get straight in to your refit or new build project.

Yard Development

The facilities in Falmouth have recently been upgraded and expanded to provide three new yacht construction halls, an impressive hospitality suite overlooking the Fal estuary, expanded state-of-the-art office spaces for all our visiting crews alongside improved project management offices.

Other Facilities

At the heart of the shipyard's six acre site, the affectionately known 'Yacht Club' is a charming two-storey, 180 year old, stone building. A past America's Cup Challenge host, the building now acts as our board room and client hospitality suite. The walls are lined with company and yachting memorabilia, cataloguing the yard's history and the various projects that we have been honoured to complete.

The reality of being based in Falmouth far exceeded my expectations. The interaction with the yard and crew is something I hadn’t experienced before so this was really nice and it now feels like we have created a family at Pendennis. All in all, being based at Pendennis for 13-months has been a very positive experience and I have really enjoyed my time in Falmouth, so has all the crew

Falmouth is a vibrant coastal town with excellent restaurants, stunning scenery, and plenty of activities to enjoy outside of your time in the yard.
