Naval Architect

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Naval Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will become part of our Naval Architecture and Class & Flag liaison team.

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in naval architecture
  • Experience in shipyard/class society, or other relevant role

    Proven experience in;

  • Development and implementation of class and flag regulations on both new build and existing vessels
  • Conducting structural and stability analysis
  • Compiling and submitting plan approvals, survey reports and equipment documentation
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical data effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

Desirable requirements:

  • Surveying experience with class societies
  • Experience in the superyacht sector
  • Experience with 2D/3D modelling software

As a key member of the management team, you will:

  • Be confident in your ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently
  • Respond and coordinate emergent repairs during refit projects to the satisfaction of the necessary regulatory bodies
  • Maintain working relationship with regular class and flag contacts and liaise with them to complete refit and new build projects
  • Support all projects with inclining experiments, sea trials, and other commissioning activities for superyachts
  • Assist with maintenance and improvement in quality standards of engineering, design, and production information
