Pendennis’ response to Covid-19 global pandemic

In light of the Government’s advice issued on the 23rd March 2020 and in the interest of supporting the national fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, the Directors at Pendennis Shipyard have taken the decision to reduce all but essential activities at the Shipyard.  Over the last few days we have been working hard to bring all current projects to a safe and controlled position. The vast majority of Pendennis employees have been asked to remain at home with their families until it is safe to return to work.  A small contingent of people have remained on site to ensure the maintenance and safe running of the Shipyard. This will help us to facilitate a rapid restart to operations as and when it’s appropriate to do so.

Mike Carr, Joint MD stated – “We hope that by making this decision at this time we have helped to protect the health of not just everyone working on site, but also their families. We have been greatly encouraged by the support of all of our staff, clients and contractors during this difficult time and wish to take this opportunity to thank them. Finally, we would like to voice our support to everyone in Cornwall and the wider superyacht community and our confidence that together, we can overcome this challenging period.”
